Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Access to reliable transportation to the western suburbs. Minimum age requirement, 23.

Associate Director of Maintenance

Description: The position is responsible for leading the overall Maintenance and Logistics function which includes maintenance of over 20 properties and supporting the operational growth of the company. This role provides strategic input toward the direction of the maintenance organization in meeting functional and company objectives. The main duties are listed below, but include an overarching responsibility to ensure the company and all Maintenance staff adhere to best practices associated with preventive and routine maintenance related to all facility assets.

Qualifications: Strongly prefer Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering, project management, business management or 20 years of comparable experience. Strongly preferred a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with maintenance operations and minimum of 5 years of information technology experience.

Maintenance Assistant

Description: We are currently looking to hire a full time Maintenance Assistant to perform day-to-day maintenance functions. Duties include light carpentry, painting and basic grounds maintenance of community homes and commercial buildings. Maintenance Assistant works with the Maintenance Manager and Enterprise Support Manager to assist in maintaining, repairing, and improving the facilities of Aspire.

Qualifications: 1-3 years experience and certification desired and Diploma. Must have 1-3 years of combined maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license.

Special Events Coordinator

Description:  Aspire is looking for a Special Events Coordinator to visualize, plan, market and execute both small- and large-scale fundraising events throughout the year. Someone who is an amazing and experienced, take charge professional with an ability to manage administration and logistics in support of our annual special events. If you are creative, organized, customer focused, and love to plan, we’d like to talk to you!

Qualifications: 3 – 4 years experience in donor engagement, event planning, volunteer coordination, and donor and/or CRM software.  Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.  Ability to maintain confidential information.  Ability to manage multiple projects/events simultaneously.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends.  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  Experience in the non-profit sector preferred. Knowledge of online and mobile resources to improve event outcomes desired. Must have access to a personal vehicle for business use.

Grant Coordinator

Description:  Aspire is looking for a Grant Coordinator that truly loves the grant writing process. If you’re an innovative and dynamic thinker that looks forward to research, collaboration and writing to create perfect package, this grant writer position is for you. You’ll think big, structuring grants around program design and outcomes in a way that shows inspirational impact. You’ll be grandiose one minute and the next nail down every tiny detail. Speaking of details, you’ll report back to funders on individual grants awarded, organize the application pipeline, and always meet deadlines with little supervision.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in any writing intensive major such as English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing.  Previous grant writing experience required, with ability to prove record of success.  Candidates will be detail-oriented and will possess strong communication, writing and computer research skills.

Health Advocate

Description: The Health Advocate provides coordination of and transportation to healthcare appointments for persons using Aspire’s residential services. This position will act as liaison for healthcare services to individuals in addition to identifying and utilizing effective advocacy strategies to overcome the diverse challenges facing individuals.

Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required. 1 year experience as IL DHS Direct Support Professional, Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Computer skills necessary to maintain communication and Electronic Health Record. Valid Illinois Driver’s License with good driving record. Clinical Counselor/Therapist

Enterprise: Living

Description: The Clinical Counselor/Therapist provides clinical support to adults with intellectual disabilities in the home and day programming setting by providing assistance and guidance in developing skill sets to effectively manage mental and behavioral health challenges. The Clinical Counselor provides support through weekly counseling sessions and writing and maintaining counseling plans based upon assessment results and the individuals’ therapeutic goals. The Clinical Counselor provides clinical skills training, presentations and team member consultations to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan across all environments and to enhance the individuals’ communication and emotional regulation skill sets.

Qualifications: Master’s in Counseling or related field required. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required. Valid Illinois Driver’s License with good driving record. Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to apply therapy techniques and train on them. The desire to help Aspire live its’ mission and will embody Aspire’s values of Teamwork, Integrity and Excellence.

Life Enrichment Facilitator

Description: Collaborate with the Life Enrichment team and community partners to develop and implement curricula designed to enhance learning experiences for adults with intellectual disabilities in areas that include science discovery, art exploration, music/dance expression and more. If you want to be part of someone discovering their purpose and talents the Life Enrichment Facilitator would be a great fit. Develop and implement syllabus, lesson plans, and teaching materials for subject area(s). Provide supervision and work together with Personal Assistants/Director Support Professionals in the classroom. Provide input and engage in a larger Aspire team that empowers each person we serve through person centered planning.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work or related field plus 2 years’ experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities. Valid Illinois Driver’s License with good driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain PACE certification. Minimum 23 years of age. Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to deal tactfully, engaging, and courteously with participants, team members at all levels, families, and the general public.

Description: Aspire is seeking a Career Specialist that will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve and retain competitive and community-based employment in inclusive work environments. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Careers, the Career Specialist collaborates with an integrated training and employment team to prepare individuals for job placement and provides supports that promote retention. Career Specialists also assist in the execution of inclusive employment consulting engagements under the direction of the Career Placement Manager, working with employers to build embracing and inclusive environments.
