As Vice President of People and Enterprise Support, Dan oversees the Human Resources, Facilities, and IT areas of Aspire.
Dan is responsible for enriching the lives of Aspire team members through strategic development of all People functions, including talent management, culture, compensation, labor relations and negotiation, organizational development, policies and practices, ethical and social issues, and compliance with laws and regulations. Dan also directs the Support team to ensure the highest quality of Aspire facilities and IT functionality.
In his free time, Dan enjoys renovating turn-of-the-century homes with his wife Katie, as well as spending as much time as possible with his two boys, Luke and Caleb. He is looking forward to coaching little league baseball in the spring.
Before joining Aspire, Dan spent the last twenty years in various direct care, fundraising, and leadership positions in the non-profit sector. He most recently worked as Vice President of Operations at Giant Steps. Dan earned a Master’s of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and loves relating to people utilizing many of the skills obtained during this program of study.

To ensure our organization and our people have the resources to thrive in the service of people with developmental disabilities.

I love collaborating with and encouraging our team in the pursuit of our goals. It’s inspiring!
What’s something people may not know about you?
I have a twin sister, Janice, (Jan and Dan). I love to fish and hike in the woods. I have renovated eight houses, all built before 1940.
All-time favorite book or movie – and why?
The Natural – a story about overcoming loss and adversity set in the context of Dan’s favorite sport, baseball, what’s not to love?
